From Dean Stanley, Pilot:

"I wanted to join a school where learning would be fun and safe, Beach Aviation was the place for me and I highly recommend them to anyone who wants to learn to fly from highly experienced professionals!"

From Tom Mosey, Pilot & Aircraft Owner:

"I am pleased to highly recommend Beach Aviation.  I have been flying for 20 years, passed my private about 5 years ago and purchased a Cirrus SR22 shortly after.  When my son became interested in flying we searched for a flight school that would fit our needs.  Beach Aviation quickly became our # 1 choice.  They have a good organization, great pilots and reliable fleet.  Located in Boca Raton (KBCT) this provides a busy airspace with crosswind challenges, but in the very best environment.  They have excellent FBOs and a truly amazing control tower.  My son is finishing off his private license, I am working on my IFR.  We have become friends with the good folk at Beach.  If you would like to contact me directly please do so on my cell at 860 514 1689 or email at tmosey@minimelts.com. Some requirements to obtain a a Private Pilot certificate for "Airplane, Single-Engine, Land", or Asel, which is the most common certificate.

  • Must be able to read, speak, write and understand the English language
  • Obtain at least a third class medical certificate from an Aviation Medical Examiner
  • Accumulate and log a specified amount of training and experience, including the following: at least 40 hours of flight time, including 20 hours of flight with an instructor and 10 hours of solo flight, and other requirements including cross-country flight.
  • Pass a computerized aeronautical knowledge test

With all flight training there are time minimums set forth by the Federal Aviation Administration that are a good general rule. However, much like fuel efficiency in a car, the government standards are "in a perfect world".  We have found that most Private Pilot candidates complete the course in fifty (50) hours. Therefore we have based our training and prices on the complete 50 hour program. For more information Click Here.
